Over two months...

We headed down to St. George for the March Madness baseball tournament. Jaxson, Jed, and Mason all played. So much fun! Ava decided that this mannequin at Old Navy was her friend and wouldn't stop holding his hand. She then proceeded to knock down a girl mannequin making the loudest crashing sound and sent the poor girl's head rolling also breaking off her cool pony tail that looked like it had been super glued back on 100 times! (maybe not the first time this has happened?) To say the employees were not pleased is an understatement. Is it a surprise that we bolted out of the store as fast as we could? Ha, ha, ha. My Ava girl.

We then celebrated Grandma Nadine's birthday... We tied balloons to the stair post which made Ava really happy because she could play all sorts of cool games with them. Her favorite was to hit the balloons into the stairwell and jump into them. Bad idea because this is what happens when a balloon string gets caught on your neck as you are jumping down off of stairs...
She had her 3 year check up the next day... Dr. Bean wasn't too thrilled with the mark and made a point to remind me how dangerous balloons are. Oops.

Our Anniversary was March 20th. It was Chris' year to plan. I helped and we came up with the most brilliant plan...
Celine Dion, baby! And a Brandon Flowers concert (Chris' Celine :) All wrapped up into one weekend away. It was the most dreamy trip we have ever taken together. Well, unless you count that I was talked into using Travelocity's "save you money, we won't show you the hotel name until your purchase is complete!" link. On each step, the screen would say, "the secret is almost revealed." I about died when the secret was at last shown to me...

In case you can't see the lush pad we got to stay in... Hooters Hotel!!! Seriously. There are 1 million hotels in Vegas! Why? Chris buckled over in laughter when I ran to tell him what happened (shocker?). I was bound and determined not to let it ruin our fun :) A huge thanks to Tiff who at the last minute took all of our children to stay for the weekend. Nadine was going to watch the girls for us but, Warren (Chris' step-dad) was in a horrible accident while cutting a HUGE branch off of his fully mature cottonwood tree in the backyard. He ended up in the hospital for weeks with a blown out knee, broken vertebrae in his back and so many hematomas he had to have many blood transfusions. We are so thankful he is on the road to recovery!

EASTER!

Her first time dying eggs! (We are horrible parents, I know. She has just always seemed too young.)

She couldn't get enough.

April 29, 2011 - Our new front yard! I'm standing on our front porch to take this picture. We feel so blessed and are grateful for answered prayers. Relief, Happiness, Excitement. Just some of the emotions going on around here! We are ready for our new life to begin here and are so humbled that we have this new start.

My mom turned the big 6-0 this May. My sisters and I decided to surprise her and go down for the weekend of her birthday. We walked into her house saying "surprise" "happy birthday" She was shocked and couldn't figure out what was going on. It was the best surprise ever and we enjoyed every second! We've decided to make it an annual or bi-annual event. Hooray for finally being together again!

And then I came home to this :(

Bella's class put on a play which was a Wizard of Oz spin off. She chose a lead role and did an amazing job! She had the entire play (not just her parts) memorized. Thanks to the Love's for making these great costumes! How fun!

Mya had been hinting around that she really wanted to have a Mommy/Daughter date. When I read my Mother's Day card, I knew I needed to plan it. "maybe this Thursday we can go on a Mommy/Daughter date" is what she wrote. She was so excited. Frozen Yogurt and a trip to Claire's made for a great night out. She picked sunglasses and nail polish :) Love this girl.

Eastlake Elementary's 2nd annual fun run. The kids LOVE this event. Ava was obsessed with "Fireball". The school put on a great production topped of with a DJ. Great idea and fun times!

The girls teachers gettin' their groove on :)

Mya was eating this up! She is such a performer and doesn't have a shy bone in her body. Love it. Bella on the other hand is the complete opposite. So shy and reserved. This is all I could get out of her...

And then, the sunglasses made their debut. She is so funny and super cute!

Ughhh. Memorial Day this year brought on a fresh set of emotions. Our first time seeing Grandpa Walley's grave stone. What a horrible feeling to see his name on the ground like this. The pain is still so raw and we are missing him like crazy. I can't imagine how Chris is feeling. He doesn't show it but I know the pain is unreal for him. We are so grateful for Ken and the great sacrifices he made in his life to better ours. A day doesn't go by that he isn't thought of, loved, and missed!

Ava had a run in at the park while we were watching Mason's baseball game. We're not sure what happened but she keeps saying a swing hit her??? Ouch!

The girls had a singing program and art gallery at school. So proud of them!

Dance recital at Kingsbury Hall. Loved their teacher this year. They have both decided they want to put more time into becoming better dancers. We have added a lot more hours to help them do this :) Bella is thinking of trying out for Company next year! So much fun having girls!!!
Beautiful!

School is out for the summer, Hooray! I took these pictures on their first day home. Um... hopefully we will be doing less of that and more of this...
We are loving Daybreak. The lake, parks, swimming pool and overall feel is so much fun! We've been taking lots of walks and spending little time indoors. Love it!!! Now, if we could only get Chris to stop traveling so much for work :) His company is thriving and getting all sorts of cool opportunities. He is thrilled with the growth. We are so thankful he is such a hard worker and a wonderful provider for our family. We just miss him too much when he's gone!
