Never mind the piles of laundry on my bed, the email's for work and the yard that has weeds as tall as Bella that need to be pulled. I think I'll get caught up on my blog!

Happy 4th of July!

Britt made these cute dresses for the girls. I bought the plain white dress at Walmart for like $6. She then put the ribbon and jewels on them. Talented. Of course, my mom made the cute flowers for their hair. It's so fun (and expensive) to have girls!!!

Did you ever do this with your hair growing up? We love to swim at my mom and dad's house in the summer. Tiff came into town and the kids were swimming. I looked over at these 3 and couldn't believe it! I did this when I was little and had never told my girls. It made me smile remembering all the times I would go swimming and make this same hair do.

Ava is growing up WAY too fast. She is doing things lately that just make her seem so big. The other morning I was eating breakfast and looked over to see her stacking these wood shapes! She thought it was pretty funny when they got knocked down :)

We were able to participate in the Cancer Relay for Life again this year. What a great event and so fun for the kids. There are booths of crafts and activities and a bounce house that kept Ava busy for hours. Our Team was called

"Just beat it!"

Sadly, my girls didn't know who Michael Jackson was until this event. We got his music out and they now love all of his songs. I hear Bella all the time now humming or singing them. It seemed weird to me that they wouldn't know who he is. Only the greatest Pop King in history :)

The last great event of the month was our trip last week to Wolfcreek. It needs to be a post of it's own. I will try to do that today. Hopefully you haven't been bored to tears while I got caught up on this blog :)

June 2010

June is always a busy month. The first major, happy, event was the birth of another nephew! Danny and Bre welcomed little Benson Layne Wright into the world on June 5th. He is SO cute and looks just like his Mom.

Bre looks amazing in this shot for what she had just been through. She had to push for 3 hours. There were 2 doctor's in the room, one pushing down on her stomach with such force, she had major bruising, and the other one delivering. They ended up needing a vacuum to get him out. His poor head was so sore looking for a few weeks. It was the hardest delivery the one doctor had ever done. He is retiring soon and has helped A LOT of babies come into this world. Her regular doctor, who is my doctor, was running a marathon and couldn't be there :(

A few more school events -

The Eastlake Elementary Fun Run.

Mya's Reader's Theatre. Her class read some cute poem's. I love these girls, Sammi and Madi. I'm so happy they are in her class again for 2nd grade.

Bella's field trip to the Bean Museum at BYU. A sad side note on this day. Ava had acted like she was getting a cold the day before this. I had asked Blaikly to tend while I went with Bella. Ava woke up pretty miserable. I still left her. I called Blaik to check on her and she told me she had major gunk coming out of her eyes. Oops! I took her to insta care when I got home. She had pink eye, a double ear infection, and one ear drum had burst! She is kind of a sickly child and I feel so bad I left her with a sitter. Luckily Blaikly didn't get sick too.

Last day of School - HOORAY! I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED my girls teachers this year. I couldn't have asked for better. It was hard to say goodbye. I am so thankful for their influence in my girls lives and I'll always be thankful for their dedication and hard work on behalf of my kids.

I'm so glad my girls had such a great year!

A fun trip to Lake Mead rounded off the month. I tried knee boarding for the first time. It was scary and I felt like I might die if I strapped my knees in. I am such a wimp in every sense of the word. Physically and emotionally.

I'll save myself the embarrassment of posting any more pictures of this event. What happened after this shot is pretty bad. Lots of pictures with a face of pure terror. And some major crashing :) And then Jen went after me and looked like a pro -

I don't know why time flies by so fast, but it does. There have been a lot of events I should have blogged about and didn't. I think I'll re-cap once again. On a side note, have you ever bought shelled pistachio nuts? I went grocery shopping last week for a little trip we went on. I wanted pistachio nuts but hate to spend the money on them. Why are they so expensive? Anyway, I saw a bag of pistachio's without the shells for half the cost. I thought I'd try them and loved them. Yum!

A few end of year singing programs -

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend. For some reason, my back likes to "go out" about this same time every year. There is never one thing that makes it hurt. I just stand up and all of the sudden it tightens up and I'm done for. Luckily, we know this really great Chiropractor who can help. It takes a few days to heal and then I'm fine. This last time though was for sure the worst and made it so I pretty much could do nothing but sit. Standing and walking are so painful. My poor family wanted to go out and play all weekend. I had to tag along but wasn't very helpful I'm afraid.

Have you been to the South Jordan City Museum? (I don't know the official name of it?) A great place to go and let the kids play. My girls loved it. Chris on the other hand was hungry and wanted to leave shortly after arriving, the girls did not like that idea :) One major side note to this place, DO NOT take the guided tour. I have been told by a few people that it ruined their trip making it a very long and boring experience.

They have an old fashioned school classroom to play in. Bella's heaven! Her favorite thing.

The girl's have picked up a love for the Hula Hoop. It's pretty much what Mya wanted to do the whole time. Ava thought it was fun too :)

We finished the weekend off with out first trip to wheeler farm. Another hit with the kids.
