Because I know I will regret it later, it's time to catch up...
April 2012 -
Easter. Always a fun time. Traditional Wright family party.
Easter Morning, finding baskets -
Let's color some eggs -
Easter evening at Grandma and Grandpa's -
I know Ava looks happy in these last few pictures. Little did we know what was about to hit! The day before Easter, she fell asleep in the car on the way to Bella's volleyball game. I thought, awesome! She is getting some much needed sleep. When we got to the game and tried to get her out, she had started a high fever and was totally out of it. We took her home, she was miserable. The fever lasted until mid day, Easter Sunday (about 24hrs.) no signs of any illness. We went to Grandma's and Grandpa's for dinner and an egg hunt. The girls had a great time. Grandma went out of her way, as always, to make it a super fun time! The girls ended up talking Grandma into a sleepover (Ava too!) We got a call early the next morning from Bella and Mya to tell us the horrible events that had taken place- all. night. long. POOR NADINE! Ava woke up crying, saying that her feet and hands were so itchy. Grandma would scratch them and she would fall asleep. Little did Grandma know, this would happen all night long. Ava waking up crying saying she hurt and itched. Nadine ended up laying in bed with her to just scratch her skin the whole night! Amazing woman! When they woke up the next morning after little to no sleep, they noticed little red spots appearing all over. We went right over to pick them up and I realized Ava had the dreaded - Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease! The next 2 weeks would prove to be THE WORST illness our family has ever had. POOR AVA! I took pictures each day.
I took a picture of her sleeping thinking it was so cute?!
Day 1 -
Day 2 -
Day 3 -
This one of her legs is the most unreal thing you'll ever see! My poor baby and the misery she endured! Her number one complaint, ITCHY!!! And, you can't itch this - way too painful!
Day 4 - Huge improvement overnight.
Day 5 -
Day 6 -
One month later! Almost all gone! What a relief to be over that. Nobody else in our family got it, thank goodness. It is the most contagious disease. It was running rampant through our neighborhood. Even adults were getting it!
Last item to document in the month of April... This one deserves a huge celebration! We listed the 3 cats that were living in our garage on KSL and all 3 were adopted to the same family! What a miracle! Mya was absolutely heart broken but we HAD to have our garage back. The hair and messes were crazy bad. The Saturday after they were gone, we took the whole day to clean, clean, and clean again. We needed to be able to function in our garage again. We literally had to take everything out, vacuum, power wash and put back. It has been heaven!
